e-Freight, a European project launched in 2007 by IATA, enables dematerialisation of the AWB, in order to facilitate communication with airlines. Printed paper documents are limited in number and their circulation between the various air transport players is made easier. The module implemented in Akanea TMS Freight Forwarding enables you to:
- Save time: automatic generation and transmission of the AWB to the various players (Customs, Roissy CCS, airlines) enables a reduction in the duration of transport time.
- Control your costs: on average, an air freight shipment generates 30 paper documents. By dematerialising 20 of these documents, the overall cost of air freight is reduced.
- Secure your data through EDI electronic exchanges and complete AWB traceability.
